Open House

Description of Event

Join us for an Open House for the new Heber Light & Power Administration Building and Line Shop! The open house will be held on Wednesday June 3rd from 5PM to 7PM. The building is located at 626 W 300 S.

In the late 1970’s, Heber Light & Power built the existing business office next to St. Lawrence Church. At that time there were roughly 10 employees. It was home to the management, office staff, and metering. It has served the company well for nearly 50 years.

Today HL&P has 50 employees and 5 departments: Administration, Operations, Resources/Dispatch, Substations, and IT. Each department is in a separate building. The current line-shop is old and needs demolished, the warehouse has been reduced to two thirds of its capacity because of office space, and the current business office no longer meets our needs. We have not had a large meeting space for company meetings and events which have also placed limits on board meetings and public hearings.

The new building allows all departments to be under the same roof which will improve communication and efficiency. There is a large meeting room that will be for training, board meetings, and public hearings. The building was built to allow for future growth as well. We are excited to start this new chapter for Heber Light & Power. Please come and see this building that will allow us to better serve you in the future.
