HEAT Assistance

What Is It?

The MAG Home Energy Assistance (HEAT) Program can help if you are having trouble paying your bill. Simply apply for assistance through their online portal. If you do not have access to internet you may drop off a paper application to the nearest HEAT office or call (801) 229-3855.

Eligibility Requirements

• Total household income is at or below 150% of the federal poverty.
• The household is responsible for paying their home energy costs.
• The household has at least one adult (18 years of age or older or emancipated).
• The household contains at least one US citizen or qualified non-citizen (see section 202 and 203 of the HEAT Policy Manual.)

Target Groups for the Programs

• Families with children 5 and under
• Disabled residents
• Seniors age 60 and older
